C7/D4 Lowering Link Install

  1.  Make sure your car is on a level surface
  2.  Go to your drive select setting and put your car in auto mode.
  3. Go to car settings and put car in tire change mode. (Car Systems - Service and controls - Air Suspension - Wheel change)
  4. After all that is done shut your car down and lock it so all electronics are turned off.
  5. Measure your fender to wheel lip on all 4 corners and write down in a sheet of paper.  Then measure what height you want the fender to lip to be and subtract that from each corner respectfully.  The lowering links do about -50mm (roughly 2in) of drop.
  6. Jack up up your front and remove the oem links using a flat head screwdriver.  BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO BEND THE ADJUSTMENT LEVER (Fronts can be done with or without the tires on)
  7. With the links off the front. Measure center of hole to center of hole and mark down the length on a piece of paper.
  8. Every 5mm shorter the adjustable lowering links are the car will drop roughly 28mm.  DO NOT MAKE THE LINKS MORE THAN 9 TOTAL ROTATIONS TOTAL SHORTER, 7 Rotations has been the sweet spot any shorter and the car will give height error codes. Every one revolution of the link end is roughly .25in Drop.  Make sure to shorten the ends equally at a time!
  1. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE JAM NUTS TO TIGHTEN EACH END BEFORE YOU INSTALL THEM ON THE CAR. ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO THE LINKS HAVE TO BE DONE OFF THE CAR TO PREVENT SENSOR BREAKING.
  2. Set the links at the correct height for both fronts that you want to drop the car.
  3. Snap your lowering links onto the balls.
  4. Lower the front of the car back on the ground.
  5. Repeat the same step with the rears, its definitely recommended to do the rears WITH THE TIRES OFF.  You can shorten the links the same amount of rotations, but only after you set the links at the length of the oem links, rears are separate size form the fronts.  So dont set all 4 corners to the same lowering link length, just the same overall reduced amount.
  6. After rears are done lower the car back on the ground and start the car up, turn off tire change mode change drive select around and roll the car forward and backwards and check heights are correct.  If adjustments needs to be made repeat the process for each respected corner.
  7. Go enjoy your lowered car!
