Designed to replace the failure-prone factory plastic unit, this direct OEM replacement eliminates cracking, warping, and coolant leaks common with the stock 3.0T TFSI thermostat housing (OEM part number 06E121111AL).
VERSION 2 NOW AVAILABLE — two major upgrades further refine this CNC-machined thermostat housing: overcooling in cold climates has been resolved (Version 1 owners can contact for a free retrofit kit), and assembly screws have been repositioned outside the O-ring groove to eliminate the risk of hardware falling into the engine block in the rare event of loosening. Available as a Thermostat Housing Only (compatible with aftermarket inserts such as the Mishimoto Racing Thermostat) or as a Complete Thermostat Assembly that is fully pre-assembled and drop-in ready.
