Overview
Full ECU updates and overhauls as of January 2025 — completely new calibrations delivering even smoother drivability, more power, and faster, crisper shifts. TGK Motorsport offers Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 2+ tunes for the B8/B8.5 Q5/SQ5 3.0TFSI, including Water Meth Injection (WMI) options for each stage and E40 support for dual pulley setups, plus full custom tuning support. TCU tuning is included as a full package in every tune purchase at no additional charge. Auto Start/Stop is disabled on all applicable vehicles across every stage.
Upgraded Throttle Body maps are available and pair directly with the TGK TB Adapter Harness — no repinning required. Simply swap the harness, flash the tune, and go. 034 TB customers will need to purchase the TGK TB harness (available at checkout). IE or APR throttle body owners require no repinning or additional harness purchase. In-house flashing is available, as well as remote flashing via the TGK Tuning Cable. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a cable to flash the tune, and what flashing options are available?
Both in-house flashing and remote flashing are available. Remote flashing requires the TGK Tuning Cable, which allows you to flash and swap stages yourself at any time from home.
Is TCU tuning included, or is it an additional cost?
TCU (transmission) tuning is included as part of the full package with every tune purchase — there is no additional charge for the ZF8 tune.
Can I switch between stages after purchasing, and is there a fee?
Yes. Once you have purchased a tune and cable, you can freely switch between stock and any stage at any time at no additional cost. Upgrade at your own pace.
I have a 034 Motorsport throttle body — do I need to repin it or buy a new harness?
034 TB customers will need to purchase the TGK TB Adapter Harness (available as an option at checkout) — no repinning is required. Customers with IE or APR throttle bodies do not need any additional harness or repinning.
I'm already tuned by another company — can I switch, and is there a discount?
Yes. A special switch-to-us discount is available for customers coming from another tune. Please contact TGK Motorsport directly for your discount code before purchasing.
