⚠ Important Notice – Cylinder On Demand (COD) Systems: If your vehicle is equipped with Cylinder On Demand (COD) system, not recommended to install performance motor mounts. Running stiffened or solid motor mounts with an active COD system can cause excessive vibration. Disable or delete your COD system prior to installation.

Factory motor mounts in the 2013-2018 Audi C7 S6/S7/RS6/RS7 4.0T are engineered for comfort over performance, utilizing soft rubber isolators that deteriorate under high-torque conditions. This results in excessive engine movement, wheel hop, poor throttle response, and ultimately compromised power transfer to the drivetrain in your high-performance Audi.

TGK Motorsport's precision-machined 6061 billet aluminum motor mounts eliminate unwanted engine movement while maintaining streetable NVH levels. The serviceable design features interchangeable polyurethane bushings, allowing you to fine-tune stiffness characteristics as your performance needs evolve.

What is NVH?

NVH stands for Noise, Vibration, and Harshness — the term used to describe how much engine movement, sound, and road feel is transmitted into the cabin of your vehicle. Stock mounts are designed to absorb and isolate these sensations. Aftermarket mounts are built with performance in mind, which changes that balance.

What to expect with aftermarket mounts

Increased vibration in the cabin

You will likely feel more engine vibration through the steering wheel, seats, floor, and gear shifter — especially at idle. This is normal and expected. The stiffer the mount, the more noticeable this becomes.

Improved performance and engine control

The trade-off for increased NVH is a more direct connection between you and the drivetrain. Engine movement is reduced, which can improve throttle response, shift feel, and overall power delivery — especially under hard acceleration.

Is this right for you?

Aftermarket mounts are well-suited for track use, spirited driving, or vehicles that have already been modified for performance. If your vehicle is primarily used for daily commuting and passenger comfort is a priority, a stock or OEM-spec replacement mount may be a better fit. We're happy to help you choose — just reach out before purchasing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need both driver and passenger mounts?
While you can replace one side at a time, we recommend replacing both mounts simultaneously for balanced engine control and optimal performance. The mixed setup of one stock and one upgraded mount can create uneven engine movement.
What's the difference between 65A and 80A bushings?
65A bushings provide excellent throttle response with minimal NVH increase, ideal for daily driving and spirited street use. 80A bushings deliver maximum performance with firmer engine control but increased vibration transmission, better suited for track and racing applications.
Can I change bushing stiffness later?
Yes, the serviceable design allows you to swap between durometers without removing the mount. Simply press out the old bushing and install the new one. Replacement bushings are available separately for easy upgrades or maintenance.
What tools are required for installation?
Installation requires basic hand tools, a jack, and jack stands. The direct OEM replacement design uses factory mounting points with no modifications needed. Professional installation is recommended due to the weight of the engine and precision torque specifications.
